WHO WE ARE?

The Joint Stock Company for performing energy activities NATIONAL ENERGY RESOURCES Skopje in state ownership (short name NER JSC Skopje) was established in 2010 for the purpose of realization of the project for construction and development of the national gas pipeline system in the Republic of North Macedonia. With the realization of the project, according to the prepared documentation, main gas pipelines for transmission of natural gas in length of approximately 800 km are planned for construction, as well as gas interconnections to the transmission systems in the neighbouring countries and the international transit gas pipelines.
In the past period NER JSC Skopje has undertaken preparatory activities related to the commencement of construction, after which the construction of the main gas pipeline section “Klechovce-Valve station 5” started, followed by the construction of section “Valve station 5 – Negotino”, section “Skopje-Tetovo-Gostivar” and section “Negotino (Kavadarci) – Bitola”.
The construction of the main gas pipeline sections for transmission of natural gas and the development of the natural gas transmission system in the Republic of North Macedonia aim to provide:
• availability of natural gas to a larger number of consumers on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia in the regions where it hasn’t been available until now,
• increased consumption of natural gas,
• further integration of the national natural gas transmission system in the Republic of North Macedonia in the international natural gas flows.
In addition to the activities for development of the gas infrastructure in the Republic of North Macedonia, the company also undertakes activities in various projects for construction of gas interconnections for transmission of natural gas and connection with the neighboring countries and international transit gas pipelines.
